I earned an Honours BA in Fine Arts at the University of Guelph as well as studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) and the University of London, England. My work has won several international arts awards and has been featured in several books, magazines, design annuals and media, in local, national and international media. It is also found in private and corporate collections in Canada, U.S., Asia, France and Great Britain. In addition to solo exhibits, I regularly participate in group shows.

My studio, Hag Atelier, in the Historic Distillery District, is both my studio and school where I teach mixed media, encaustic, drawing, sculpture and oil and acrylic painting to adults and teens. I have also been teaching art at private and public schools as a visiting artist since 2001. I am also a board member and selection committee chair of the artist run collective Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts in the Queen Street West Gallery District.
