Heather Gentleman lives and works in Toronto, Canada and London, England. Narrative oriented, her work explores the intersection of light and dark, life and death, technology and humanity. She is currently working on her MA at the Chelsea College of Art in London and earned an Honours BA in Fine Arts at the University of Guelph as well as studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) and the University of London. Her work has won several international arts awards and has been featured in several books, magazines, design annuals and media, in local, national and international media. It is also found in private and corporate collections in Canada, U.S., Asia, France and Great Britain. In addition to solo exhibits, she regularly participates in group shows.
Heather ran her own gallery/studio school in the Historic Distillery District for 14 years as well as acting as an active board member and selection committee chair for 10 years of the artist run collective Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts in the Queen Street West Gallery District.
