“Heather lived in a little house”, is a personal excavation which explores how  thoughts and the subconscious mind determine experience. Our subconscious and conscious mind are imbued with beliefs about life and expectations. Much is determined by childhood experiences that form the foundation of choices and mindset. I used toys and objects from childhood to consider what  beliefs, based on memories, I have carried with me as truth. I combined found object, digital illustration and photography to make work in a new format that lent itself to an online exhibition format during Covid.
